Accessibility Statement

Placeholder: This English version is a placeholder. Before publication, it will be replaced by a translation of the German accessibility statement approved by the operator.

We want everyone to be able to use Taskapult, including with a keyboard, a screen reader, a screen magnifier or other assistive technology. This statement describes how far we have achieved this, which barriers we know of and how you can report a barrier to us.

1. Voluntary statement

As a micro-enterprise, we fall under the exemption of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) for services provided by micro-enterprises. We are therefore not obliged to publish this statement, but do so voluntarily because accessibility matters to us.

2. Scope

This statement applies to the website and the web application Taskapult:

  • the public pages (home page, features, pricing, FAQ, contact, about us and the legal texts),
  • signing in and registration,
  • the public forms that customers publish with Taskapult,
  • the web application after signing in.

3. Compliance status

We aim for conformance level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. The website and the web application are partially compliant with these requirements. The known exceptions are listed in the next section.

What we have already implemented includes:

  • All pages can be operated entirely with the keyboard; the focus is visible everywhere, and a "Skip to main content" link skips the navigation.
  • Tasks can be moved in the list, board and timeline without dragging, using a menu or the arrow keys.
  • Dialogs keep the focus until they are closed and then return it to where they were opened.
  • Status messages and page changes in the web application are announced to screen readers.
  • Text and controls have sufficient contrast in both the light and the dark colour scheme.
  • The pages adapt down to a width of 320 pixels without horizontal scrolling, and animations are turned off when "Reduce motion" is set in the operating system.

4. Non-accessible content

We are aware of the following barriers:

  • Testing with assistive technology: A test with screen readers (e.g. NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack) and with a screen magnifier is still pending. There may therefore be barriers that automated checks do not detect.
  • Views not yet checked: The calendar, the rules and forms of a project, project fields, reports, time reports, workload, goals, portfolios, templates, members and the workspace and profile settings have not yet been checked individually. They use the same building blocks as the checked views but may have further shortcomings.
  • Timeline: Without dragging, the dates of a task can only be changed with the date fields in the task details, not directly on its bar.
  • Highlighting of the selected task: In the list view, the opened task is only highlighted by a light grey background with low contrast. It is marked for screen readers, and the task details show it.
  • Sign-in pages: When moving between the sign-in pages, some screen readers do not announce the new page title. Without JavaScript, the input fields of the sign-in pages have no programmatic label.
  • Payment: The checkout of our payment provider Paddle is provided by a third party and has not been checked.
  • Public forms of customers: The accent colour of a form is chosen by the customer. The text on it automatically gets a high contrast, but the contrast of the coloured area to the background depends on the chosen colour.

5. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 31 October 2026. It is based on a self-assessment: automated checks with axe-core in the light and the dark colour scheme, keyboard checks of the pages, dialogs and controls, and checks of the layout at a width of 320 pixels. We review this statement whenever Taskapult changes significantly.

6. Report a barrier

Have you come across a barrier or do you need content in a different format? Write to us using the contact form for reporting a barrier or by email to kontakt@example.com. Please describe on which page the problem occurs and what does not work. We will reply as soon as possible and let you know how we will remove the barrier or make the content accessible to you in another way.
