Frequently asked questions
How does the free trial work?
When you register, your personal workspace automatically starts a free trial of the Advanced plan for 14 days, without payment details and without obligation. If you do not book a plan by the end of the trial, the workspace continues on the free Free plan: your data is kept, only the features of the paid plans are locked.
Which plans are there and can I change my plan?
Besides the free Free plan there are paid plans with more features, more storage and a monthly AI quota. They are charged per member and month, billed monthly or yearly; guests are not counted. The owner of the workspace can change the plan and the billing interval at any time on the billing page: the unused part of the current billing period is credited and the new plan is charged pro rata immediately.

How can I cancel my subscription?
The owner of the workspace can cancel the subscription at any time on the billing page. It then ends at the end of the current billing period, and until then you can withdraw the cancellation. Afterwards the workspace falls back to the free Free plan. Nothing is deleted, but the features of the paid plans are locked, and if the workspace exceeds the limits of the free plan, invitations or uploads are locked until the limits are met again.
How do I pay?
Payments are handled by our payment provider Paddle, who acts as the seller (merchant of record). You pay in the Paddle checkout, which shows you the available payment methods. Your payment details stay with Paddle, Taskapult does not store them. Subscriptions are charged in advance at the start of each billing period and renew automatically until they are canceled.
Where can I find my invoices?
The billing page of the workspace lists all payments with their date, invoice number and amount. There the owner can download every invoice as PDF. The invoices are issued by Paddle as the seller.
Do I have a right of withdrawal?
As a consumer you have a statutory right of withdrawal. How to exercise it, which period applies and when it expires early for digital services is explained in the instructions on withdrawal. Our refund policy describes under which conditions we refund payments.

How do AI tokens work?
AI features such as AI planning, subtask suggestions and project status drafts use AI tokens from the balance of the workspace. Every new workspace receives a one-time starting credit. Paid plans additionally include a monthly AI quota per member, which expires at the end of the month; a running trial does not receive a quota yet. You can buy more tokens as packages in every plan, and purchased tokens do not expire. More capable AI models use more tokens; owners and admins choose the model in the workspace settings.

Which data is transmitted when I use AI features?
Only when you start an AI feature yourself, Taskapult transmits the content it needs to Anthropic, the provider of the Claude AI models: for AI planning your description, answers and feedback as well as the name, description and sections of an existing project, for subtask suggestions the title and description of the task, and for status drafts the name and description of the project with its open and recently completed tasks. Without your action, no data is sent to the AI.

How do I delete my account?
In the settings under Profile you can delete your account after confirming it with your password. This permanently deletes your account and the workspaces you own with all their projects, tasks and files. Cancel a running subscription on the billing page first and export the data you want to keep.
What are guests?
Guests are people outside your team, for example clients or freelancers. Owners and admins invite them to individual projects: guests only see the projects shared with them, are free of charge and count neither as paid members nor towards the member limit. The pricing page shows which plans include guests.
